Thinkpad Edge 13 review

Shouldn't be called a Thinkpad. Looks like a piece of garbage. They completely missed every reason why you WOULD buy a Thinkpad. Thinkpads are expensive for a reason. If I wanted a cheap, plastic laptop with a terrible keyboard, I would buy any other brand. Looks like Lenovo is finally starting to really destroy the brand...

All reviews I've seen have praised the feel of the keyboard. I think this laptop would have been better received if they didn't brand it as a thinkpad. It's not a bad laptop; it just doesn't look like a thinkpad.

... Thinkpads do look like pieces of garbage, at least to everybody but a Thinkpad owner.

Eh. They needed to branch out. If you look at the market segment they are pointing those at, it makes a lot of sense.

yeah, they are really changing a lot of stuff. they are coming out with a netbook-like device with a detachable screen

very un-ibm like, but it looks like some interesting stuff regardless

Well, that is the consumer product side of Lenovo, not the Thinkpad side. ThinkPad T and X series are still true to the ThinkPad name and design.

That's true. From afar, it looks like an old crappy pentium II laptop, until you've actually used one. Then you'd appreciate its solid build quality and the exotic feeling materials.

Damn, I hope they don't ruin the lineup with those nasty ass glossy screen

Don't see the point of it. I'll stick with my x200.

Love mine, just recently put an Intel X-18 80GB SSD, now it runs how it should have came from the factory. The 7200 Seagate was slowly it down so much.
