IBM T Series = crap. I go to RPI and the official endorsed school-discounted laptop is the IBM T22. Half the hard drives begin to make clicking noises eventually and fail two weeks later (did they use 75GXP ripoffs for these?), the processors randomly begin doing work if the computer is idle for more than 2 minutes (this may be some software RPI put on to help with dist. computing, I'm not sure), the video card is TERRIBLE (Dell's cost the same and have GF2Go). About the only thing I can compliment this on is the design, it's light, the monitor is well sized, the keyboard is large, and the trackball is responsive (and not a POS touchpad).
