I think I'll use a flavor injector to insert some deliciousness into a pork butt roast. I'm not sure what flavors work best with butt?

I'll have a nice cigar while it cooks.

There's always one that goes too far.

My best guess:

Improper amount of marinade will cause it to be dry. Smoking may occur during the process, if that's the case.

you dont have to marinade a pork butt. the reason you smoke/cook them for an extended period of time is to break down the fat and connective tissue running through the meat. as it breaks down, its keeps the meat moist.

marinade may not hurt it...but its definitely not required.
