I have a Gateway 1100 AMD T-bird, It came with a MS-6330(retail version 2.1) but this is not an overclockable MOBO. I still have 2.5 years of warranty left. but i really want to overclock. I was thinking of getting another mobo take all the parts of the gateway mobo and putting them on the new mobo. What do yall think?
Has anybody ever done this before? If I ever have a problem that needs service i will just put the original mobo in. I was thinking of an ASUS mobo.

If this were mine:
I would leave it like it is and save my money for the next one.

same here, you wont get that much more performance and the money you will have to spend wont justify the purchase.

you'll end up money ahead
and have a much better machine

I dont understand why i should start over. Seems like i would do better by keeping the parts i have. hard drive, GPU, CPU, NIC etc...
Myabe the power supply might need replacing but i dont see why i would not gain on this deal.
