You will have to ship first, being a noob. This is only fair as you would expect the same thing if the roles were reversed. This being the case, ONLY deal with well established traders (35+ perfect heatware) until you build up a nice set of references yourself. Once you hit 25, people tend to trust you a bit more. Paypal account helps speed things along, but DO NOT accept credit card funds from a non-verified members, because Paypal can take these funds out of your account if CC fraud. Don't use a debit card with CC logo, because a lot of those do not have protection like a normal CC does in case something happens. Always do exactly what you say you are going to, keep a record of all emails and communication for 3 months after a trade to back yourself up, and make sure and leave heatware for other traders so they will do the same for you. Be explicit in your terms, if you have to wait to ship two days, make sure the other person knows or they will bitch. For anything over $50, use insurance -- no exceptions. Always pack as if you expect the delivery guys to play soccer with your package on their breaks. Any other questions, feel free to pm me. It is not that risky if you follow some basic rules and never deviate from them.

Good advice wyvrn. Don't know if I agree with the 35+ figure. It takes quite a lot of trading(wasting time, just buying crap for the sole reason of buying it) to reach that status.

You definately have a pt., but as we have seen, 20 positive references doesn not mean you are safe from the trolls. I guess it is trader beware at all times. Every since I have followed these stringent rules, I had had no suprises or problems. YMMV.
