I played sax for years. It's great, and it's really easy. Once you get the basic notes down, it all comes naturally...Buy many reeds, and start out doing what you like...
 
I played sax for about 6 years. From my experience it's pretty easy to be okay at, but difficult to be very good at.
I haven't touched the thing since I fist picked up a guitar about 10 years ago. good luck. 🙂
