Thinking of learning guitar...

...any way I can teach myself? I've played trumpet for years (was going for All-State in NH, before we moved)..so I have a rough idea of basic music stuff.

My dad has an acoustic guitar, so I don't have to buy one..does anyone know of somewhere I can get info online, or is it hard to learn on your own?

If you have some music experience, you should be allright learning from the internet. Just do a search on google.

If you have NO music experience, then I would suggest you find a teacher.

I don't play guitar, but i've got friends who were self-taught it... so how hard can it be? And since you can already read the notes, i'd imagine it would be easier for you.

I've never taken a single lesson. I've been playing for about 5 years now.

If you have the dedication, you don't need an instructor. Just have fun!
