After I graudate, Im thinking of going into actuarial work. This is pretty wierd for me since I have my bachelors in Electrical Engineering (UCLA) and I'm currently working on my masters in EE (USC) as well. Although my masters is in EE, I am structuring it around actuarial work. Im taking probability, statistics, estimation theory, stochastic processes, chaos and fractals, etc. I'm planning on taking my first actuarial exam in the spring and hopefully i can find a relevant internship for the summer. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

ActuaryTm should be able to give you some thoughts on it (Thought I can't speak for him).

Well, I started to think about it, but then it started to hurt.

I think just the thought of exams after exams after exams is what turns people off....so I mean for me, I either do graduate school, or concentrate 100% on the exams.....

Being an actuary is really lame. Such a very narrow field. Try Operations Research - you can do everything an actuary can and MORE!
