I have no cable, wireless, dsl available in my area!!! So satellite is an option. With my dial-up connection of only 2.6kbps i figure uploads would be faster with 2-way am i right with thiis? to you would it be worth it put in a position like mine?

If you have satellite please tell me your feelings with it and wat it is like compared to other services if you've had them

I don't have satellite, so I can't say from experience, but the ping times are 600 or higher - pretty slow for broadband and not good for gaming, but I believe its a much much improvement over 26k. :)

If satalite is your only option, I would take it. Its faster than dial-up, but your ping times are going to be terrible, so there's not going to be much sense using it for online gaming. However, once the request for data gets to the server, the transfer rates are going to be much faster than what you had with dial-up.

If you have absolutly any other option...I would take it. If not, satalite is the way to go, unfortunetly.

I have used 2-way satellite... as others have said, ping times are horrible. You will never do any kind of online gaming that requires quick reactions.

However, I have also downloaded at over 100 KB / s. So.... if that's what you're looking for, then go for it.

It's expensive though.
