Thinking of getting an LCD monitor...

At the moment I'm leaning towards the NEC LCD1760V because of good reviews and the price. I've done some research, but would like even more reviews and 'shootout' type analysis before I buy. I want to make sure I'm happy with what I buy, especially forking out that kind of cash. Can anyone point me to a site or two with good information?

I myself tried really hard finding LCD reviews and such before I made a purchase, but they're nearly non-existent. After months of thinking, though, I bought Samsung 213T. :D
And from my experience, I'd recommend anything from Samsung. They make gorgeous LCDs. Think spending a bit more, wait for the 192T which AnandTech has just reviewed. With 100~200 bucks more than 17", you'll have a nice asset for the coming years. (Remember you don't upgrade your monitors too often)

Thanks for the replies, but $1,300 for a monitor is way out of the question. That's more than twice as much as I paid for my current system... ;)

I am a gamer and require at least a 20ms response time. Does anybody have opinions on the NEC LCD I mentioned? Seems everything I've heard about it is positive, any drawbacks? 17" is fine for me, I just want a bright, crisp and colorful display that won't have noticeable ghosting while I'm playing games.
