Thinking of getting a Real Estate License?

You should make sure that agencies (i.e. ReMax, 21st Cent., etc) are hiring in your area, otherwise your license won't let you do much.
It's very, very hard to utilize a license without a company backing you, if not impossible.

My wife was kicking around going into real estate. In the end, it seems like the hours you'll have to work are worse than third shift. Forget about having a weekend with your family ever again. There's a lot of money to be made, but it don't come easy. My wife opted out, though she still LOVES real estate in general.

You can get rich selling real estate, but you have to be willing to work 24/7. Nothing, absolutely nothing, can be more important than a sale if you want to make it.

Well, I'm a real estate appraiser, so I guess it depends on which part of it you go into.
Realtors are loaded to the brim right now because of low interest rates.

If you arn't already in the game, don't bother right now unless you are in it for the long haul.
There will be a slight dip in the market within the next year or so. Which will affect the sales much more than the refi's.
Realtors arn't making anything off of refi's.

Thanks, but at 60 hours, it was worth it, wasn't it?

I have no responsibilities, just looking to make $ on the "side". I can sell well, but can't really spend 9-5 doing this as I have a job.

Anyone sell houses strictly on the weekend?
