There are tons in healthcare

QFT, Healthcare and those serving healthcare are booming...lots of stuff is in the pipe.

Problem is most that think they can't get jobs, really have no skills or accomplishments.

They list every technology they ever seen and don't have anything they can talk about doing.

If you know your stuff, there are jobs out there.

Check healthcare++

Check your regional centers job postings for workload, and current applications. Networking is pretty straight forward with certs. If there are a ton of Analyst positions(Integration, application, programming), they are most likely a closed box solutions facility and will train you to integrate their systems with the vendor as your backup. If they list a plethra of fundamental programming languages and concepts, they are most likely a home grown application facility which would actually use a Computer Science/Engineering degree.

I always see stuff for healthcare out here so it's def. a route to consider. I'm looking into getting my A+ from compTIA now. Got my hands on some of the study material. I'm trying to find some practice tests to take a look at. Hopefully I'll be testing soon. The Essentials portion seems pretty easy, but I think I'll need to study a bit more with the Practical. Once I get a bit of cash saved up I'll get the vouchers and schedule the test so I at least set myself a time-frame.
