are the old ones the one without the rail? and were all black?

The rail and body color had nothing to do with it. They were a little too much like Glocks in the trigger and striker mechanism. They got sued for patent breach and had to change their design slightly.

You can get them in black plastic, or green. And the slide is available in nickel or matte grey or black.

Or at least, they were.

Unless you're being attacked by the entire Chinese Army one clip is fine. Learn to hit what you aim at rather than closing your eyes and spraying randomly.

you do realize there is a difference between shooting at a range standing still and shooting under stress, most likely while be shot AT?

You can get combat training, which might make it better, but even then you'll still be under stress.

A clip is different from a magazine and the terms are by no means interchangeable. Using "clip" when one means "magazine" is akin to saying "tires" when one actually means "wheels."

while I agree that the terms are not the same thing exactly, they both perform the same function so i can see interchanging the terms. a clip holds ammo. a magazine holds ammo. both are inserted into a gun.

a tire goes on a wheel. they do not perform the same function.

well, a clip is used to hold ammo that is inserted into a magazine or cylinder which is then put into place to be fired. clips aid in loading mags.

hmm because the guy at my gun shop was talking to me about the model I got, and said it is actually better than the older ones because more of the kinks had been worked out. He said he switched from a Glock .40 to a sigma .40. And then the other guy at the shop was making fun of him for owning anything smaller than a .45. Anyway, i'm fairly happy about this purchase! I would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying one.

But they are not even close.

It would be like calling a the machine that stuffs tissues in a tissue box a tissue. A clip is used to feed a magazine or revolving cylinder, while a magazine or a belt is used to load cartridges into the chamber of a firearm.

Thanks for further proving my point.

lol someone making fun of .40S&W who shoots .45 is an idiot. The difference is negligible.

Why do people screw with inferior products esp when life depends on it??? Sig P226 have a nice day 🙂

Look at those scabs even trying to copy Sig name with "sigma"😛

I'd probably spend a little more, and I don't think the Sigma is really a carry gun, but it's not a piece of junk like some people seem to say. You're obviously going to run plenty of rounds through it at the range, including your defensive/HP rounds, to know it's reliable enough for carry. If it does choke a lot, well there you go; find that out then.

Gun snobs...basically. I think this will be my carry piece. We'll see though. 150 rounds with no hiccup so far. when it comes down to it, and I really need it, it will work, and I will most likely not go through a whole clip defending my self.

well fwiw, to all the naysayers about the brand, i have had a bad glock that glock actually replaced because it wouldn't extract anything. jam-o-matic, at least 2-3x per mag w/ many different shooters/ammo. glock never told me what was wrong but did send me a new one and mine was a gen1 which sat for years unused until i thought i would contact them about it (probably 10yrs) and it was replaced w/ a gen 3. the gen3 has been g2g.
