TT....

why a mini....were they out of pink miatas?

A mini with the works is a pretty fast car... sure you can call it gay but it's probably faster than what you drive.

yeah, I know....a buddy of mine actually traded off his Expedition for one. It's the old joke about fat girls and mopeds.....fun to ride but you wouldn't want your friends to see you on one.

Please don't get a TSX. Everybody and their mom has one.

TT may have some electrical issues, look for one with Extended Warranty.

Mini Cooper S with the Works = blast to drive 🙂 I test drove one and thought it was comfortable (I'm 6'3").

Congrats!

Very nice car! You'll love the convertible! I know I love mine 🙂.

Thanks! Now to chip it for a nice 40hp bump! 🙂

Spend the money on some advanced driving courses, you'll probably improve track time more from those than 40hp more

Now, since most people don't go to tracks and just want straight lines to be quicker, sure, go ahead and do it

😛

To be honest I'm a pretty conservative driver in the 0-60 sense, I do want to chip it for the rare instance I need it. The TT is a tank- it looks little, but I think it has the same gross weight as a hummer. Chipping it will put it at 265bhp on a quattro platform, where I think it belongs in the first place!

 nice choice, very stylish. I hope you were able to see the car in person before buying it though.

Yep, the seller turned out to be the ex president of AMD, he's very nice. I test drove it, I'm headed over right now to pick it up. It looked and drove like it is brand new, 15k on the odo. He needs to make room for a new Ferrari. He's got crazy cars everywhere, must be nice. 🙂

For someone concerned about appearing meterosexual the Audi TT is a strange choice.

😀

Anyway, it's a sweet machine. Hope you enjoy it.

wow, seems like a good deal to me, especially if you can bilk a signed amd t-shirt out of him 🙂

I didn't feel like stooping so low but we did chat a long time about AMD and 64 bit stuff. I paid in cash so it took his friend a long time to count it. I was wrong about the ferrari, it's a Ford GT he's making room for. I asked if I could come test drive it, he laughed and hinted maybe a ride. 😀

Super nice guy, I was impressed. My baby is home now. I threw the car cover on it and to my horror it is embroidered "stacked" in big pink letters on the back.

Metrosexual? I think I just zoomed right by that in a hurry!😀
