Hey there, this is my first post as a new member to this board.

I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with the Gigabyte GA-7DXR+ found here:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/products/7dxr+.htm

I am getting ready to upgrade from a PIII667 and definately want to go with an AMD XP 1500 or better.

My other concerns are being able to use some shiny new 20GB UDMA133 drives in a RAID 0 config and the extra Memory slot for ease of upgrading later on.

If anyone has used this mb or has a better suggestion, I would like to hear it.

Thanks,
Onieda

Welcome to the Anandtech forums :) Here's a good review of the GA-7DXR+ Review I haven't used it for a build but it appears to be very impressive for the AMD761/686b chipset. The reviewer used the promise controller and disabled the primary and secondary channels on 686B in the bios. I say buy it and post back your experience.

Bought it, now waiting.

I went with the AMD XP 1800 and a single 512 stick to start with.

Will post resluts once i get it up and running,
