I'm currently rocking a 1050Ti, and I won an Xbox one X for 2$; I'm wondering if selling it for 200$ and using that cash buy a 1060 would be worth it. I know my ram is alright, and all my other specs. I'm unsure if my Ryzen 5 1400 will bottle neck though. What are your thoughts?

If you do not play any console games, what is the point in keeping it ? Although if you do sell it off for the GPU, id be asking more for it.

XBox One X lets you play entirely different games, the 1060 lets you play the same games at slightly higher resolutions. I'd keep the console.

EDIT: Or trade it for a PS4 Pro.

I have been a member of Steam, for 14 years, and 3 months. Ever since Half LIfe 2 was released. And in that time, I have played only 48 games, out of the 216 I have. Mostly from sales, but all AAA games.

But point is, I find myself not really interested in PC gaming much anymore....Hence why I havnt upgraded in a LONG time. Everyone is different though. Yes, as posted above the PC will give you slightly higher resolutions but you may also encounter frame rate issues.

And with that being said, if it were "me"......Id keep the Xbox X. But if you dont, there is no way id take $200 for it. And I would definitely "NOT" trade it for a GPU either. The only one losing out will be you.

Edit: I agree....maybe trade it for a PS4 Pro.

Try to sell it for a bit more and buy a GTX 1660 if possible. Maybe can be had at around $220.

Thing is, most of Xbox's games are also on PC, so a PS4 Pro would give access to better exclusives, you may be able to find someone who will trade you.

I would highly consider an RX580, it a better value than the 1660, as it can be had for less than $180 or so. Its competitive with the 1660 in benchmarks, albeit trails slightly.

Personally, I would sell the Xbox One X and 1050Ti, add some money to it and get a 2060 or 2070.

Good point, if he sells the 1050Ti as well, he could get a 2060. If he should do this depends on games played and his monitor resolution, so to avoid bottle necking the 2060, though I would think a 1400 would do ok due to SMT for 8 threads. Again it depends.
