Thanks for the info... I had a GTX 470 before I EVGA step-uped to the GTX 570... my former GTX 470 was sitting over 100 degrees C with fans at 70% and the fan was LOUD!!...

my current GTX 570 sits at 65 degrees C with fans at 70% and the fan is not as loud as the 470's...

No it will not. Only crossfire.

EDIT: I'm not sure which models, but only the latest AMD motherboards have been certified for SLI support.

**SIGH*** thanks... if I go with a new Mobo I might as well go with a new CPU... if that is the case I might as well wait for the new generation of cards...

You have a bottleneck with 570, your CPU is holding it back. You would see more FPS higher FPS with a better CPU. So going SLI your gonna get weak results and its a waiste of money. Stick with what you have, one day when you get a new mobo CPU... system, u can then go SLI ! dropping 2 x on a Phenom Q 3.4 is like throwing it on a core2duo or a non ocEd quad system.

Found a GTX 570 for $249 after rebate here:

Will my current MOBO support it?

I know I need a new PSU at least...

Thinking about trying to get max eye candy for BF3...

I think he should be OK with that CPU at 1920x1200 res.

er.. for a single card. SLI it may indeed be somewhat of a bottleneck.

cpu is plenty for a single gtx570 and not too bad of a waste for gtx570 sli at 1920 if you actually crank every graphical setting and use plenty of AA. was the res even mentioned though?
