Thinking about getting a Xbox 360

Other than GOW is there anything else thats killer for it? I can't see myself buying a $400 system for just one game. I'll probably buy the VGA adapter and play on my 19" Widescreen till I can get a HDTV. Anything coming(or is due) early this years that suppose to be good?

I guess it largely depends on what kinds of games you enjoy playing. For the last decade or so I only played computer games, more specifically, multiplayer games such as EQ, WoW, Counter-Strike, etc.

I purchased an Xbox 360 on launch day and it was a bit slow going at first but they have a lot of excellent games now. Some of my picks include:

Dead Rising
Gears of War
Tiger Woods
Saints Row
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Rainbow Six Vegas for sure!!

Saints Row and Dead Rising look like something I'd like to play... at least rent anyway.

Oblivion if you haven't played it on PC.

marvel ultimate alliance is a great game, tony hawk project 8 is ok but VERY VERY HARD

Playing Vegas now on PC. Its great but runs a bit slow sometimes even on a decent rig. Got Oblivion for PC aswell. So the games that everyone is listing is good enough to buy and not rent first?

Blue Dragon should be out sometime... the RPG looks incredible! I'm so tempted to just pay $300 and import a console just to play it (Microsoft region locks all of their games that they publish but does not mandate it for other publishers).

I might just wait then. I want the lastest rev if I am gonna fork out $400 bucks(providing it doesn't cost more which it shouldn't).

Man, BS, they'll be cutting short all the people that have supported them up till now. If they release a new version w/ hdmi and 1080p capability, i damn well better be able to output 1080p over my vga cable. Not to mention my hard drive is only 20 gigs compared to 120. I guess it really gets me because i just bought my box 2 months ago.

Yeah it does seem like a rip off to ppl who done bought one. I guess they could get away with it since Nintendo dropped the HD port on the GC and ppl from there out was SOL. Of course this is the opposite since MS is doing a upgrade instead of downgrade.

The 120gb might not be a bundle if its even true.
