For 8G's you can get an amazing motorcycle...
Don't know how to ride one, and they seem harder to learn how to ride.
Can you ride a bicycle?
Take the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) course and get your license. That course is offered at local community colleges usually.
I think I can, I use to ride them all the time before I wen to college 6 years ago, but haven't been on one since. But they say it like learning how to walk, you never forget how.
Well, go ride a bicycle to get used to balancing and riding a two wheeled vehicle again. Then go take the motorcycle safety course if you're really serious about this. I'm not positive but I think you need a motorcycle license to operate a scooter or moped, most states consider it the same as a motorcycle.
If you take the MSF course it waives the DMV driving test for getting your motorcycle endorsement. Also, you'll be learning on small 150-250cc motorcycles with a clutch and manual transmission so at the very least you'll gain some experience with them to help you decide whether you want a motorcycle or a scooter.
I just bought a Suzuki SV650 about a month ago and I already have 700 miles on it (this is not my first bike BTW). It's funny, people say that this is a good first bike but I think it would probably be intimidating for the novice rider. It's plenty quick...quicker than most cars anyway. I've ridden bigger bikes but more power adds more weight and the SV650 is fast enough for me but light enough to be really fun on twisty roads.
