Thinking about getting a firewall app.

I've been thinkin' about getting a good firewall app, but with sooo many out there, it's really difficult to choose one. I want something simple and light. I've heard good things about Tiny Personal Firewall.

I want oppinions!

I'm happy with Kerio, a step-child of Tiny Firewall. Very straight forward & easily configurable.

Tiny is Kerio, which kerio v.4 is the best imo.

i agree here it is great i use it on my 3 comps. its very user friendly and does its job well

i recommend sygate they offer a free version and im very happy with the pro version also uses the least amount of memory i have with good power and feedback, it also alerts u anytime a program has changed, aka updated itself, sygate asks u do u want to let it assess internet bec it is a different file from the past and that is a great feature many softwares lack. i have not used kerio yet, but so far ive heard good things about it according to this forum, i have used NIS (norton internet security) made by symantec in the past and was happy with that but too much configuring as sygate makes it much easier and i believe that the pro edition is stronger and almost easier to config.... goodluck ask me more if u want ive tried a bunch of things

Yes, Kerio was established by a group of programmers that brought Tiny Personal Firewall and Tiny still has a significant interest in Kerio. I don't know whether Kerio is a wholly-owned subsidiary of or an affiliate of Tiny but it's a closely related party of Tiny (applying the U.S. GAAP here).
