He did say you have to be admitted, hence taking the kitten back to the pound temporarily (which itself is kind of... what?), and from my experience with the US medical system I'm pretty sure this is the kind of thing that would generally be scheduled in advance. But I'm excited to see what the next chapter brings, who knows, maybe tomorrow he'll come back with the notion to be a great luchador.

I'm just glad that he didn't take a liking to collecting organs, like he does with mobile Geforce chips. It's not enough for him to have the laptop or the mobo with the chip. He needs to rip it out.

Because having a functioning laptop with a vintage Geforce chip is so not normal.

I've worked in hospitals for about 30 years and I have never heard of anyone stopping someone bringing a book in! It's a good place to catch up on your reading!

I work in a general hospital we don't do any MH stuff here, and certainly not something as uncommon as ECT!
From what I've heard it brings pretty instant relief from some symptoms but leaves you pretty groggy for a bit.
Like being a bit postictal after a seizure. It's about as far away from my work comfort zone as you can get though.

I called the pound and they said the person who told me they can temporarily hold my cat was "mistaken" and that I can't get the cat back after I return him.

They told me to look for a "cat boarding" company and the cheapest I can find is $35 a day.

I think I'll wait until I get my SSI on the 1st, I'm also going to try to donate plasma more often.

You can't get your uncle to look after the cat for a week?

They were probably trying to rescue the cat from the sort of person who thinks they can just drop it back off at the pound temporarily whenever it's convenient.

Maybe you should make sure you're actually going to receive ECT before you go making any big plans.
Like, do you think you're just going to walk in and say "I'm ready to be admitted for my ECT now." and they'll say "Sure thing, let's get you signed in!"?

My uncle doesn't like cats, when he helped me put together my pull up rack he told me to lock him up in my room.


I might be able to just put a ton of food and water in my apartment and leave him there for a week, he might get pretty lonely though.
