Thinking about doing some advertising...

I really enjoy playing video games and I'm thinking about advertising my name and number around college or something. Why? Because everyone knows that video game stores like to take trade-ins. Lets say on a brand new game somebody trades it in for like 25 dollars or so (and the store resells for around $44 or so)...would it be illegal for me to advertise that I will buy used games? What I'm thinking about doing is telling people I can beat Gamestop's buying price for games (I give 28 dollars to their 25 dollars) but solely for me to play. Is this illegal?

Gamestop doesn't pay $25 for used games. More like $5-15 depending on how many they have in stock. And you can buy and sell anything you want so long as the product is legal.

On newer games that have only been out for a month or so they do.
