Thinking about an HDMI switch

I'm thinking about getting an HDMI switch in order to use just my PC monitor for my PS3 and PC. Is it acceptable to use an HDMI to DVI adapter from my video card to the switch AND from the switch to my monitor? Neither have an HDMI input.

It works, just be ready for the potential for some HDMI handshake and EDID problems with the HDMI to DVI to your monitor. The PS3 may be a problem if you're going to try to pass sound over HDMI as well.

Holy Christ that's cheap.
Thanks for the reply, and I'll be getting that thing..
Is it pretty durable? I've seen complaints about other switches that break if you point a finger at them, and I'm getting a bit worried..
So there might be some issues w/ the monitor? And I'm not worried about sound for the PS3 at the moment; I'm moving into college and we only have room for one TV (my roommate's), so I need to be able to just play it for now without bothering the TV.

Does your monitor support HDCP? The PS3 won't work on it if it doesn't. (YES THE PS3 ALWAYS REQUIRES HDCP ON HDMI DO NOT CONTRADICT ME)

EDIT: Nevermind, just checked, the 906BW does support HDCP. YES!!
Thanks a bunch AT for the help. I'll look in to fixing up the PS3 audio.
