I've got a BFG 7800GT and was thinking of adding another one to get SLI performance. First, has anyone mixed this card with a diffrent brand? Second, do you think my Antec TrueBlue 480 will handle it?
i would agree, its almost never g a good idea to go SLI on older cards just to improve performance. sell ur 7800 and then buy a newer faster single card. if ya have enough money left over THEN think about goin SLI/Crossfire. that will make ya more future proof than 2x7800gt's will.
*EDIT* OH by the way 😉 if u notice my sig i just HAPPEN to have a 7900gt for sale. already has all the mods and comes with a NV Silencer 5 rev 3.

I'd say to sell your 7800GT and pick up 2x7900GT's. Now THAT is a nice power increase. You can mix card brands, but they have to be exactly the same model. 7900GT + 7900GT, not, 7800GT + 7900GT. Your power supply should be sufficient if you have 20 AMPs or better on the 12V rail. If you have a voltmeter, you may want to check it out. Also check if your PSU was SLI approves. If it is, the manufacturer usually has a sticker on it saying so.
