Have you seen this? Do you like it? If you hate tattoos as a premise, you don't *have* to reply to this thread.

I'm thinking of getting it shaded so that it goes from red to grey to black.

The only way I would get a tattoo is if it were something practical - like if they tattooed socks on my feet, or a tat of underwear so I wouldn't have to wear any.

You could put this on your face...it might help you not scare the kids as much. Is that practical?

its different....

I have a few, but they mean something to me that has happened to me in my life....

None of them are colored they are all black and shaded so if I want to add color later I can..

It's may be hard to get a good outline transitioning from red to black. The red just won't stand out as much and may fade quicker over time compared to the black. But find a good artist and get their input.

The work I have done is outlined in black and fades inward to red.

This, definitely this. There is a difference between a tattooist and a tattoo artist. A good artist should be able to do what you want and make it look awesome for many years.

I'm not a big fan of that, but it's your choice. That would be a good logo for some kind of company. Also I prefer monochrome tattoos. I'm generally not a fan of color.

Yellow + Caucasian skin = pretty disgusting. Looks like gangrene.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

OMG what a pussy. That's awesome.

I'm surprised the artist put up with that crap. Usually when dudes can't handle it anymore they just patch you up and have you come back in a couple weeks when the first application heals.

It's definitely different. I'm not sure I personally like it, but as long as you do, that's what matters. I also agree that the transitioning of color could come out a little different than what you are hoping/expecting so make sure you talk with your tattooist beforehand and see what they think. I have one tattoo with some color shading that in my mind it was a bit different compared to how it actually came out. I still love it, but just something to be aware of. Good luck with it! :)
