Thinkgeek Levitating Globes? Anyone seen it in person?

zomg. thanks for the link.

this is totally what I'm getting my dad for christmas! 😀
Yeah, it looks cool, just want to confirm with anyone here who may have seen it in person for their opinion on it.

I've seen them in person at the Tacoma mall (or maybe puyallup mall) in washington
I'm sure they're probably in most malls during the holiday. I'm pretty sure it was in a gadget type store, but it may have been at one of the holiday-only type set-ups in the middle of the hallway.

Seemed cool -- but not $40 cool. I wouldn't consider it for my dad -- but I would consider it for a 10-12 year-old, except for the price.
If it was $10-15, I'd probably get it for a kid.

But if you're rich, and have no other ideas, it's probably fine for desk decor.

Yeah, $40 isn't cheap by any means and I know that ThinkGeek is probably making a killer profit on each one but I'm not sure what else to get him.
