Then riddle me this:

Three people go to a hotel and get a room. It costs $30 so the three people split it 3 ways- $10 each.

They go up to their room and the guy running the place realizes it should only have cost them 25, so he gives the bellhop $5 to give to the 3 people.

Now the bellhop can't think of a way to split the $5 between the 3 of them, so he gives them each a dollar and pockets the remaining $2.

So now effectively, each of the occupants has paid 10-1 = $9 for the room. Total, they have paid 9 X 3 = $27. The bellhop pocketted $2, so 29 total.

Where's the other dollar?

The three guys paid $30. $5 was given to the bellhop, who kept $2 leaving $3. He then dispersed the remaining $3 to the men. So $30 - $5 + $2 = $27. Then add in the $3 that the bellhop gives back to the men and you have your $30.

 
Damn! I was hoping it wasn't a repost but didn't get anything with a search. I don't think anything's NOT been discussed on ATOT.

that doesnt answer it. at the end you have 3 guys who paid 27 dollars and the bellhop has 2.

i'm gonna have to really think hard on this one...its really just a play on words i'm sure...

A wood chuck would chuck as much wood as a wood chuck could chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood.

But it does answer it, just backwards 😀 25 + 3 = 9 & 1/3 for each person(3) = 28 and the 2 for bellhop

The way he had it was 25+2 for bellhop and then 1 for each person = 30

The only answers I can think of are a) nothing will happen and b) they'll all pull one eye out of its socket and look at it.
