you think your carpet is clean now? hahahaha!

go buy a carpet shampoo machine. you should use it atleast once a year, it doesn't sound like you've used one ever. the dirt from your carpet should be incredible. i shampoo atleast once a year and its still mucky each time.

<shudder> I need to go take a shower now....

It's for this reason that I rent a steam cleaner every 6 months

No, hell no. Who told you my house was clean?

Anyway, try steam cleaning or shampooing your carpet. You'll see how dirty it truly is. :Q

yes, brushing and sucking your body "clean" is nothing compared to a good soak and suds:)

I have one of these. Talk about hair in the carpet. I will never buy a dog without a little reseach. Cute when they are a puppy doesn't last!

she's justa Yorkie, so she's not the big problem. The cats are evil. We've lived here for 2 years and haven't had the carpets cleaner since we moved in. I bought a Bissell steam cleaner/shampooer before Christmas, but am waiting until warmer weather to do it so we can air out the house to let it dry better.

it doesn't take long to dry, just go over the carpet a few more times with the suction mode and its pretty much near dry. a few hours and its dry....... unless its icecold in your house or extremely humid, most of the liquid is sucked back out.

our vacuum is only a few years old.. i hope it's fine :p
it does a good job on surfaces where you can tell if they are dirty or not... picks up everything.

Our apt has the original carpet in since this building was built. I need to rip it up and put laminate flooring down eventually.. its disgusting. Even when we vacuum it the place still looks filthy because of the floor.

Oh and we also have 2 cats.. and we steam clean atleast once a year!
