this is a rant about my job...

i go into the server room just a few minutes ago to change the backup tapes. there's this horrible wailing/grinding type sound. i'm looking all over to see what the hell it is. finally determined it was one of the rack mount servers. everything looks fine except for the sound. sounds like a bad fan. so i try to call my boss and let him know. cell phone is off, his mailbox is full, and i call his house and he's not home. he's at his other job. i used to work there so i remember the number and call there. "yeah, i know about it. already got another fan ordered." i guess maybe i overreacted about this issue a lot but i hate having to deal with stuff if it goes down and people start bitching.

think he could have told me this at some point in the day? nope. but really, i'm not sure why i'm pissed off or surprised that he didn't tell me. he does that kind of stuff all the time. i'm the kind of person that likes to know whats going on and if something is wrong, i want to fix it right away, especially at work, because the business depends on it and so might my job, you know? we're 2 totally different personalities and a lot of times it really conflicts.



 
doesn't sound like that much of a big deal which leads me to assume that you really don't like this person and so you may find any sort of thing to get pissed at. All I can say is, I completely understand.

suggestion, quit, and get a better job where your boss isn't an asshole
