AKE STATION, Ind. - A teacher in northern Indiana is on leave after students said he scrawled a threatening message on a classroom chalkboard.

Lake Station Schools Superintendent Dan DeHaven told WLS that the district is investigating after students snapped photographs of a message written by a teacher at Edison Junior-Senior High School.

The message read in part, "A) You are idiots!!!!!!!! B) The guns are loaded!!! C) Care to try me ?????????"

Considering the community, you do not know what was going on. Mexican gangs are violent. A teacher in the town I taught had her life threatened for painting over gang graffiti on her house. You have no idea what this guy has been put through. The teacher is always bad after all.

I would need to see an interview with the teacher. If he seems like a joking guy who says things that are crazy just to be funny, keep him. If he's a very angry old man, fire him.
