Think sprint will let me downgrade my phone?

I have the replacement plan for my Sanyo 5300 and its not working.... again...

This makes phone #4 for me since January.... Every one has had some problem with it, different problem each time... This time its the internet...

Think sprint will let me get an 8100 instead of my 5300 this time? I dont care about the crappier photo quality, i dont use the camera that much....

I think the way it works is you get the same phone and if that phone isn't available anymore they give you a choice of "comparable" phones. I just found out today I couldn't add-a-phone to my retention plan which ticked me off. I never knew this was the case. However, there's no harm in asking

Update:

So after 2 trips to the sprint store, 2 calls to customer care, and about 3 hours of my time... I am now the proud new owner of an 8100.

He checked my account, aplogized for having gone through so many 5300's and said he would be more than happy to get me into another model phone.
