Your attitude isn't so good because calling members nuts is not going to get you anywhere.

not to mention all of the advertising links to other pc forums in OP's sig, and then complaining about the "service" here isn't helping the guys cause. Just saying.

So let's review some facts:

1. system reboots endlessly with your PSU and gtx295
2. and when system manages to boot into Windows, it crashes when loading nvidia drivers with the gtx295
3. but your friend's 9500gt doesn't cause any reboot at all

Well, it's clear to me that

1. the gtx295 is defective.
2. PSU is defective.

I have to say it's the gtx295 that's the culprit. But if you have a 2nd PSU (borrow from your buddy maybe?), you can just use that PSU to power the gtx295 alone! You will need to turn on the 2nd PSU by shorting out the appropriate pins on the 24-pin connector block; usually it's the green wire plus the adjacent black wire, so use a bent paper clip and stick it in the green and black holes. Use the 2nd PSU to power the 295 alone, which should be more than adequte juice to the gtx295. If system still reboots, then hell it's definitely the 295, and it cannot be your PSU because your PSU does not cause any rebooting with your friend's 9500gt. Did I make sense there?

yeah thanks, mate. I was thinking maybe i should take my card to a shop which has high end components an a good troubleshooting department (same place i bought the PSU from but not the GPU) and have them load up my 295 on their 750W PSU (hoping they have one).
That way I'll be 100% pretty sure. Cos to RMA my Zotac I'll have to pay shipping costs from my country (Sri Lanka) to the US (where I bought it from) which wont be cheap.

hmmm. Well if a shop is willing to test out your 295 then that is great. If not you can still borrow your buddy's PSU for the purpose of powering the 295. And if your buddy's PSU doesn't have enough or the right connectors for the 295, they do sell those Y-adapter power cables with the appropriate ends for the 295. I don't think they're expensive but since you're in Sri Lanka they might be hard to find.

constant rebooting seems to indicate there's a grounding issue with the system in general though, but the grounding can be anywhere, even within a component.. and can be a pain to track down if you don't have parts to swap out.
