This story should be all over cable news. This is the kind of story they'd be salivating over if the OP's slant was in play. But it's not and that pretty much says it all.

Isn't it exactly the kind of story you'd follow had you read it on your nutter websites?

The answer is yes.

As for somehow there not being anything at work here at all from some of you ya I think you need to get your mind checked for defections. You do not just regularly have most of the city workforce just up and quite when a new mayor comes around.

It sure as heck doesn't seem normal to have many resign just as the new mayor comes in, but the article linked doesn't provide any information to make any inferences about what might be going on. Not even what questions were asked, from whom and by whom, and who refused to answer etc. Basic journalism. Idiots want to leap right to a pre-determined conclusion (racism! sexism! corruption!), but there simply isn't any information provided.

Well going based off what I know it ooks like the strongest poosibility is probably corruption. Prejudice is also possible but given what is known is pointing more towards corruption I am going to consider that as not existing or as a secondary influence.

The irony here is that we don't know anything as to why they walked out, so if anyone's mind needs to be "checked for defections"...yours should be first in line.
