Coldest I experienced was ninety something below windchill factor in Alfred, NY in the late 80's (before they revised their windchill chart)

Mt. Washington: Repost times four

Heh, you know, I never ever thought anyone else would be nerdy enough to post a thread about the cold on Mt. Washington. Sorry, it just never occured to me.

The windchill is -62 at Whale Cove, Canada.

There, now it's about two cold places.

32 here but it was misting/foggy couple hours ago, clear now. Fresh snow on the ground and cloudy so there was this; not a white out I'd call it a grey out, some of the most depressing weather I've seen in a while.:(

A hiker died near there recently. He was fully set up for cold conditions, but after a week out there, hypothermia got to him in his sleep. :Q

I live in the Boston area, and it got cold enough that almost all the schools closed down friday (except mine, of course). It's warming up now, but tommorow's forcast says snow (just in time for the big game :D).

Right which meant the windchill was more like -45 in today's chart.

You'd think if anything the way people are becoming they'd go the other way and make the numbers lower so that -90 was really -125. In any case it's sooo cold. Today in Miami they have issued a wind chill advisory. It's in the 50s. In freaking MIAMI!!!! It must be like the Day After Tomorrow where you live.

It was 32 a few hours ago, but its warmed up to 43 now. With the north wind dying down and the sun shinning its not too bad out

it's cold, but it's not that bad for December.

it is hella windy today, though. I had to close my umbrella despite the rain because it was making it too hard to walk to my office this morning.

Anything below 60F is OMGCOLD to me. Why anyone would choose to live up north for the weather is a complete mystery to me.
