Think I'm going mad!!

Just picked up a Videomate S350 TV Tuner card from Scan uk.

The Description: http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=683707
say it has an "RF/Ariel in" connector (which makes sense, or so you would think).

Now for the life of me I can't see a RF connector on the back of it.

These are the connections on the back of the card
1, Loop through.
2, Satellite TV-in (not RF)
3, IR
4, Ext audio in.
5, Ext audio out.
6, S-Video in.
7, Composite in.

Please can you confirm the use of a standard (RF) ariel connector on this card?

All I want to do is watch tv through my pc.
Anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

cheers
Alan

Hi Alan,

The RF signal uses a coax connection. I see two coax connectors in the picture, so it's one of those.

Alan, not all coax connectors screw on. Some slide on - right over those threads. So before you change the connector, see if yours will slip on there (if you haven't already tried).

yes, you should have been using the standard coax cable for cable, satellite, or regualr broadcast for decades now.

Not here in the UK they don't.
Satellite maybe but not regular tv.
Just got my self a 42' Plasma TV, still using good old RF connection ;O)

Not a chance, completely different connection.
