I had a dry socket and it didn't hurt at all, just stank to high heaven. Went back to the dentist and he packed it all was fine.
I removed the packing a couple days later by myself.

I've never heard or seen anyone bitch about dry socket until I came to ATOT. Stop being such a pussy.

I still don't know what dry socket is. I had 4 wisdom teeth surgically removed (they couldn't be pulled with pliers) and nobody said anything about dry socket. They gave me a bottle of some special mouth wash and a syringe needle with a curved end. I didn't even need to take the pain killers because the guy did a good job and there was no pain.

Just get a bottle of Everclear and use it as a mouth rinse. Be sure to swallow for the analgesic effect of the Everclear.

Lmao damn this is a old thread but i came here trying to figure out what to do with a dry socket if I'm not in pain 😂😂😂 this is gold.

Man up dude. My 16 year old stepdaughter just had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed 3 weeks ago. She was back at cheerleading practice 2 days later doing roundoff back handsprings and not taking anything but tylenol.
