Hey fellas.

About a week ago, I was playing bioshock and my power supply went POW, and died. After getting a crossfire-certified 550 watt Rosewill PSU from newegg, I went to play TF2 and a lot of the surfaces were blinking in black, and the framerates were well under 20. Also, when I played Mount & Blade, the characters in battlefields were composed entirely of static like you'd see on a TV, the fuzzy white and gray stuff.

I took the cards out of crossfire and tried them individually, with the same result. I then put in an old nVidia 6200 LE I had lying around, and the problems ceased.

This is just a lesson to never half-ass a PSU.

Ehh, I would still try maybe wiping windows and starting from scratch or try Driver Cleaner and clean out all the old ATI stuff on your computer. It could very well be a software corruption issue causing screwy behavior.

I'm extremely impressed wiht my Coolermaster Real Power Pro 650w. It and its 750w variant have gotten great reviews in every test I've seen.

So...
Seasonic and CWT?
Corsair uses Seasonic & CWT for their OEM psu's xD

Silverstone, PC Power & Cooling, Antec (some of them), Cooler Master (some of them), Xigmatek (CWT based), Etasis (oem for some silverstone psu's), and prolly a few others tend to be good.

Had the same rosewill 550W psu die on me last week... luckily nothing else went with it. Decided to order a Corsair 550W. I will never, EVER skimp on the PSU again.
