Just hoping I might do someone a favor by letting everyone know it might be a bad idea to tell a prospective future employer (like me) that "Stepbrothers" is your #3 favorite movie. That is all.

You judge a candidate based on their movie preferences? That's absolutely pathetic, sport, and you're no boss I'd want to work for. You truly do have quite a bit of growing up to do.

However, I've done quite well for myself in my career so far - thank you for the job consideration, but I'll have to pass. I prefer to work for respectful, intelligent people.

I did. That's why I can't enjoy Anchorman or Step Brothers. Sorry.

Admittedly, I thought Anchorman was pretty funny the first time I watched it (when it was new). We all thought the dog killing scene was hysterical, but it was really just a shock laugh. The "shock gag" was a fad back then (started with Something about Mary, continued with Me, Myself, & Irene, etc). I tried to watch it again about a year ago and just couldn't finish.

As much as I love Anchorman, I thought the dog-punt scene to be by far the least funny. Again - you show your immaturity. Sad that such a person feels he is in a position to judge others.

You'll learn some day, kid.

Not solely by that, no.

Grow up, son.
Grow up.

I don't understand why you're trying to attack my maturity. As I said, I grew out of Anchorman and I now dislike most movies in that genre that I previously enjoyed. Those two particular movies are unabashedly immature and they don't pretend to be anything more.

Sorry if it's a character flaw on my part, but I do judge people by their tastes. I can't help that, but it usually works for me. For example, one of my friends has no work ethic and I could never recommend him as an employee to anyone. In almost every matter of opinion / taste, I disagree with him. I always notice similar correlations between work ethic and entertainment tastes in other people that I interact with. I have many fine friends that would make terrible employees.

So, yes. Knowing someone's taste in movies is one of many factors in formulating an overall impression about someone.

Quite ironic. You can't understand how I'm judging your maturity, when you are rather clearly displaying your lack thereof. Meanwhile, you feel you can judge work ethic and job performance based on taste in movies.

Again - you have a serious amount of growing up to do, and you really have a thing or two to learn about the world. Now, if you're excuse me, I'm busy enjoying Rambo II - a movie NOT as much different from First Blood as you'd like to make it, which you hypocritically admit is among your favorites.

Goodnight, sport. I think its past your bedtime.

I immediately tried to finish my above post before the forum froze completely (felt like 10+ minutes). It's there now.

For the record, I still enjoy movies like Rambo II (guilty pleasures). It is as different as can be from First Blood. Do you recall how many people Rambo directly killed in the first movie? None.

Rambo just wanted to be left alone and Teagle wouldn't stop. Teagle and his men suffered due to pride and stubbornness.

I'll just say that anyone who likes "Grandma's Boy" is insufferably retarded and I WILL judge them.

there's a difference between liking dumb movies in general and dumb comedies. if you wanna go straight up e-peen i'd be willing to go to a MENSA center and get tested and we can throw down photos of IQ scores with card castles on top of them.

it's a retarded movie, but it had some great moments (edit: ha! this originally said 'movements.' freudian poop joke). overall decent flick...kinda like harold and kumar (the first one)- it doesn't mind being a stupid mess because there are some decent jokes and the characters generally amuse.

edit: although you have to be stupidly fucked up (on drugs, assumably, not just in general) to enjoy anchorman.
