Think before you try to shake loose that stuck candy bar...

vending machine accidents

<< In the past 15 years there have been over 40 deaths, and hundreds of injuries caused by toppled vending machines in North America. In Canada there have been 5 such deaths. The most recent incident occurred at Bishops University, Lennoxville, Quebec when Kevin Mackle, aged nineteen, was found dead under a Coca-Cola machine in his Residence on December 13th, 1998. >>

The Coroner next turned his attention the use of motion alarm devices on the machines, another no-no because - "it becomes a toy for practical jokers that can trigger it to disturb and inconvenience people".

Far be it from us to inconvenience people to save lives. I have an idea lets get rid of all the *@!#&#*!@#&% car alarms that go off by themselves and the "chirp-chirp" BS.

Arrgghhh, don't get me started on car alarms. :|

Oh, and I suppose we should just ignore the fact that these morons were pulling these things down on themselves? It's not like people were pushing them on each other as a joke or something, these idiots didn't realize that *gravity* makes things fall!

I saw someone tip over a vending machine once, fortunately he was not cought under it. (The things you see on a college campus 🙂)

Why don't they just anchor them to the floor or chain them to the wall so that they can't fall over.

Even my new stove is anchored to the floor so that it can't tip over.

Proof that even an idiot can design a web page....he does not go into the many lawsuits already in the courts involving this issue...:disgust:

<< Over 40 Deaths and Humderds of Injuries >>

Top-notch article there, huh?

In high school all our vending machines were attached to the wall by metal braces and such.

No tilt the machine.......no die.......dumbass!

Why should the school, Coke or the vendor be responsible for his death is beyond me....cars are dangerous to when you run into someone...can I sue Ford if someone hits me? NO....he was using the Coke machine in way that was not intended....punishment doesn't fit the crime.....but still.....sux to die for a can of soda.....was he "dying of thirst"?

<< was he "dying of thirst"? >>

Or this: as a result of not being able to have a drink, he was crushed....literally.

and remember... just because a candy bar fails to far from its perch does not imply transfer of ownership!

TWIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
