OK.. I've been here in Santa Barbara for a few months now, and honostly don't know what there is to do. The first few weeks, I blamed the fact that I wasn't doing anything on my moving. But now I'm pretty much all moved so that excuse doesn't work anymore.

I graduated from UCLA in March, so I have lots of friends in the LA area, and drive out there a bit to hang out with them, but honostly that is a lot of miles to go out there on whim.

I've kinda done the hang out with the co-workers thing (went surfing), but that doesn't really seem to work, as most of them are older, and married. And all the talk about are houses, mortgages, kids, etc.. which is all good but I'm not at that stage of my life yet.

I'm not much of a drinker (in fact I rarely drink), so I don't think the bars on State St. are quite the right place.

And meeting people is a sly way of saying meeting girls. Preferably hot girls. That will fawn all over me. :D And before Mundania can post I don't mean girls in a suana when I say hot (though that possibility cannot be ruled out).

Hey, and if you have pics of the hot girls (that will fawn all over me) that can found at these places, do post :D

edit: Corrected a few typos.

I just moved to Santa Barbara about 2 months ago- I like to hang out at East Beach. I'm not much of a drinker either. Have you tried Don Q's? I think it's a pool hall- heard about it, but I haven't made it over there yet. I'm gonna assume you're male and don't like all the shopping around Paseo Nuevo. I'm not really sure- I work and go to school and go out with friends to eat and stuff, but I really like the beach so I do'nt spend a lot of time just hanging out downtown. If you like dancing, there's Zelo- it's 18 and above, so there's not a lot of drinking.

Err.. yes I am male.

And unfortunately I'm not a big beach person (fixed that "when surfing" to "went surfing" to remove connotations of me being a frequent surfer).

I hate to tell you this, but I've lived here for almost four years, and there ain't a whole lot to do in town. Although, do yourself a favor, if you're over 18, pick another club(I hesitate to call them that) in town. Zellos is hecka dull.

The cool thing about SB is that there are a lot of really uniqe and interesting things in town. The thing that really sucks is that most of those really cool things to do in town are hole-in-the-wall places that most people(like me) don't know about.

If you're still into the whole college party thing, IV on a Fri or Sat night is definately the place for you. Regardless, you should definately check the place out on Halloween. I personally can't stand the holiday, but the people are worth seeing. Last year it seemed like the guys and girls were all having a Brittney Spears theme going on.
