things to do on vacation in west US besides national parks?

it seems like everything i plan for vacation involves national parks. am going to AZ, CA, UT, probably CO. is there anything else thats cool/fun/neato to do besides go to all parks? cuz honestly i cant think of anything D:

We like to find old mining sites, ghost towns, etc. really cant beat the national park system though. I have loved everyone i have been too, and that includes between 10 and 20 parks.

Bodie State Park in California is the best ghost towns you're gonna find.

There's Disneyland (skip California Adventure), Monterey Bay Aquarium, San Diego Zoo. Hearst Castle and Highway 1 through Big Sur.

Seattle is very cool and worth a few days to just mess around. Underground Tour, Troll, Pike's Place Market, Space Needle.

Tahoe, Vegas.

I know it's a National Park, but don't forget or be intimidated by Death Valley.
