Things I hate today

I'd like to head down there one day. I was talking with a guy from the US who lives there and he loved it, sans the electricity issues. He was a doctor and said sometimes patients would pay him in mangoes. 😛

my dad is a Doc and before the HMOs took over he took items such as wood sculptures and like 50 gallons of maple syrup for payments, pretty sure we got 1/2 a cow once as well

People are still up for that. My buddy (a bit of a free-spirit hippie) is a handyman & trades stuff like remodeling jobs for tooth crowns. Bartering system still works!

I started doing restaurant tech support a number of years ago specifically for this...once I get them setup with a solid IT foundation, most stuff was just small jobs that I could pop in & do and trade for food. The food usually isn't quite equal to what I would normally be paid for a tech-related job, but bountiful free food is delicious. Will work for food! 😀

cant do it in medicine anymore, insurance and govt do not let any of that shit fly

worked fine 20 years ago when he was in private practice

Idiot people who are not even clients calling after 9 for "emergencies". Heh, you had the chance over the last 3 years to become a client, sorry we don't cover emergencies for non-clients.

I hate XenForo so bad. It's not like vB where you could see ALL subscriptions. It seems XenForo picks and chooses what you see in your alerts based on your recent view of that thread. Totally asinine and wreaks of Facebook/social media BS.

The fact that while the cost of purchased items like electronics has gone way down, all the reoccuring costs like utilities, taxes, etc keep going up. yay, I can buy a TV for under a grand now... but all my bills are almost double what they used to be. Those cheap electronic prices also just mean they are made cheaper and will break down faster, meaning you have to buy them more often.

6 Feb 2017:

1. Red meat. Never thought I'd say that. Had a steak last night. It's just sitting in my stomach today. Indigestion and nausea all night. But no movement on it. I feel awful.

When my wife and kid are both sick at the same time. Its like the Cough Olympics in my house, makes me want to check into a hotel for a week.

Snow. I woke up to about 4 inches of snow and still coming down. According to the local weather people...this is a MAJOR SNOW EVENT FOR PUGET SOUND!

Some parts of the area got as much as 14"...Fuck that shit.

getting up for work
calling in to see if were open due to bad weather and being told we open
getting to work and being told to go home, were closed

Boot laces. It's a solved problem, but they universally suck aside from combat boots. I don't understand why all the companies don't use the same braided nylon combat boots use. Oh, and Timberland sucks. I got them a year ago cause I wasn't finding combat boots at the price I wanted to pay, and they're complete garbage.

Hourglassing is a state of strain, which is free of energy (ZEM: Zero Energy Mode) and can emerge in case of one-point-integrated solid- (hexahedrons) and shell elements.

hourglassing
The act of stuffing ones ass with as much sand as possible, squatting down and then letting the sand slowly pour out into another persons' gaping anus. If all the sand has been transferred, switch positions and repeat. Bonus points if you can get some consistency going e.g. switching every 10 minutes.
Alex: Bro, we really gotta start practicing our hourglassing, our times are all over the place
Tim: I'm not your bro, fucker. Now hurry up with the sand.

Hourglassing
When you hold your dick so hard it looks like an hourglass.
That guy is really good at hourglassing
