Just watched it for the first time. What an incredibile film. Somehow I found it more "real" than Saving Private Ryan. Awesome, just awesome. Brings you right into the battle.

i didnt like it; been a few years since i watched it so i cant remember anything except i bought it, watched it, and threw it out

I LOVED this movie, and just picked it up a few weeks ago from BB.

Not many people like this movie, and I understand. Either you're totally in to it, or just think it's boring.

The soundtrack is pretty good, with the "chants". (Note: NOT the score.)

Yeah, alot of people told me they hated it. I've been in battle and I found the emotions in this film to be quite real (though a bit overdone in places). Of course, I did not fight in WWII or anything remotely resembling these kinds of battles, so my POV is really worthless, but for some reason this movie really hit a spot in me.

Totally different movie than SPR, but good in its own right. I liked the slow, quiet passages. Sometimes the lack of music says alot more than you could say with music.
