Hi,

Today I saw some hardware that I whould like to know more info about it.

It is a box, no bigger than a regular switch/router, and has back connectors to: ac power / monitor / mouse / keyboard / ethernet rj45.

This hardware is brand named "neowave", which I hardly find any info/pics on the web.

This would be a thin client, and I would like to know what beneficts can I gain from it ...

Can I, for instance, have a windows server, and then people connect to it and work with windows as if they had a full dedicated PC?

Or what could be a good use for such a hardware?

Thanks for info.

You set them up to connect to a terminal server. Basically they are a PC, but with just the bare essentials to get KVM feedback from the terminal server. As for benefits, you can have one "beefy" term server running tons of these thin clients. They are much cheaper than actually buying full blow desktops.

Make sure you have a really BEEFY server especially if you will be using an app that calls the NT virtual machine (to run 16-bit apps) which eats up CPU.
