Let's spend less time dressing up our words just so we don't offend the other. The simple fact is that nothing warrants this kind of behavior. They were defenseless, submissive and not even doing anything, what's the point? Like North America needs anymore of that crap.

China has a huge population, do you guys think they can apply the same easy going laws as we do in the states ? They would end up with a HUGE number of prisoners that they would have to support financially? I don't think they would agree, this way thieves learn by pain, and observers learn by example.

I think this kind of punishment would be justified in case of highly recurring thievery and or thievery aided by the use of deadly weapons, I think rapists too deserve this type of punishment.

I just hope that whatever these two thieves stole was worth the punishment, that's all I can hope for now that the damage is done already, but from the violent way this punishment was carried out, it doesn't seem like it was some small theft, it looks like high class theft with the use weapons and or a good deal of damage financial or physical incurred on the victim.

Given the mentioned circumstances, I would probably think different if they had done something like this. But considering they appeared unarmed and didn't defend themselves, I'd assume it was something minor and the first time they stole from there.

Armed robbery is something that I would very much be pissed off about, because it threatens the life of others. Would I support a beat-down? Yeah, probably. Would I support throwing rocks/bricks at them? No, fvcking, way. There's something called "excessive" violence. There's a difference between a nice ass-kicking and a flat-out barbaric assault.
