The Farrellys have said that they were not going to do a biopic or remake, but instead new Three Stooges episodes set in the present day. The plot of the episodes are said to be an adventure that revolves around the Stooges characters. The film has reportedly been taken to MGM studios and given a November 20, 2009 release date.

If the movie is based on the actors then it may be interresting as the 3 s's have probably had interesting lives outside of hollywood. Probably alchys or abusers or sick twisted mofos. I cant see Depp doing a comedy movie unless its more of the life behind the 3 s's kinda flick.

It says RUMORED for a reason. The new Batman was also rumored to have Johnny Depp as the Riddler, Philip Seymor Hoffman as Penguin, and stuff like that from just random people making shit up. It doesn't mean anything right now.
