Those nutty evangelicals prayed for a Trump win, AND THEY LOST! But why would they endorse a man whose known to cheat on his wife. MULTIPLE TIMES! Trump isn't a church going president either. Hell. Biden is more "christain like" than Trump.

Evangelicals are IMO evil people. Have you ever noticed that many of these evangelicals are multi millionaires? Kenneth Copeland. Paula White. Michael Bachman. They should all be ashamed.

Conservative evangelicals, along with the white supremacists, are the most evil people in this country today.

Guaranteed they would both run at the chance to turn on the ovens if their dear leaders told them the ovens were full of pro abortion immigrant socialist anti american libruls.

The evangelicals cite David as evidence that God often uses bad people to do his work. They are great at the mental gymnastics needed to justify their hypocrisy because they are like a hive mind. A few mega church/TV preachers develop a message and it disseminates.

Certainly they fail to adhere to the 99% of the Bible they are giving the bird, but who cares, they feel good. Right?

Here is an article targeted to Christians to give them permission to vote for Trump.

Still waiting on those massive riots and coops with guns blazzin'.... any day now....

Standing by, waiting for the call to come. Not that it will, but Trump moved the Overton window to where some of them think it might.

Some evangelicals think their faith will cause God to make them rich!

Also true. Despite that it is antithetical to the teachings of Jesus. It's in line with the article I linked above. They with twist themselves up to justify their life in the eyes of GOD and then scream it from the rooftops. Shakespeare said it best, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

Churches were given money from the Trump admin so its no wonder they want him to win. I definitely believe they want a strong-man in office who will force Americans to have to pay tithes to the church to make them richer.

Most of my extended family, and some closer, would be classified as "Evangelical" to varying degrees? Do I think they are evil, on a personal level? No. They'd help anyone in need that was in front of them. I think they are largely ignorant and their beliefs are selfish and dangerous. Like many other non-evangelical people they have been sucked into believing garbage fed them via their "news", their church, facebook, email chains etc.

In my experience, their way out of fixing anything tough or challenging is to say that "end times are coming". That has literally been the end of two discussions I've had, one about climate change and one about the (apparent) mass murdering of our brave police officers in the escape from NY landscape of all big cities (all of my relatives are from rural areas.) Fix the environment? Nah, going to be all burned anyway. Have a discussion about the police history that has led to some of the protests? Sounds like work, Jesus is coming soon and this was all foretold.

They are people predisposed to believe horseshit and submit to authority, so they are readymade for someone like Trump to come along and get their adulation. Despite the fact that Trump is pretty much a spot-on villain from their good book.

A lot of American Evangelism far more closely resembles what Moses found upon his return from Mt. Sinai.

The call is not coming, and even if it did, those who would answer will be so sporadic and disorganized, it would be quickly snuffed out.

This is so true.
Particularly that Woman adviser, the one with the funny hammer meme.
She follows that wealth = gods will and god obviously wants you to lead because you have wealth. Pretty much the opposite of the New Testament and pretty weird in the Old Testiment.

Most people don't understand the old testament and read the whole thing as being literal - except the parts they don't like.
Jesus is much more blunt in the New testament, particularly on wealth's entanglement with idolatry - and the christian obligation to care for the poor.
He also has great disdain for shepards who mislead their flocks and prosper off of them (the pharisees). As with the Catholic church and pedophile priests, God will have the last word on abuses among evangelical preachers. How He will likely use the secular world to do so, since those in the church refuse to change.

Yeah Old Testament readers tend to ignore the New Testament part where Jesus more or less says: What I say now supersedes any old texts.
Then talks about it being easier for a camel to pass thru a needle head than a rich man be admitted to heaven.

The problem with religions that look to the afterlife for salvation is that they believe it will come after real death, not the death of ego. They have fallen in love with a bridge that was meant to be left behind when crossed. They are all people who have given up on themselves on the fake hope they will be saved tomorrow instead of manifesting God in the present. The Kingdom of heaven is within and to be found nowhere else but within ones own heart. The love you feel for God is the love He feels for you. We were told, were we not, that God's love for each of us is infinite and that we were created in his image. How can a person of God bear to see one creature suffer much less allow the world to end?

The answer, of course, is that for them it already has. They are stuck on an old dead bridge the crossing of which has almost universally been lost in the inevitable mechanical nature of self hate.

Christianity isn't very good at creating Christians but it's great for the cunning pathological criminal who can use it to make lots of money.
