They opened a Carl's Jr here. I've never been, and will eat in an hour? Worth it?

I don't have the coupon in front of me, but which are good? 1/3 pounder? How are their chicken tenders compared to McD / BK? These pics look so purdy.

I used to eat there occasionally (it was called Hardee's in my area) but I haven't since college, around 2005 probably. I just ate it too much and got sick of it and just have never went back. I did like their Frisco Melt burger though, that was good. Their regular hambugers were nothing great IMO; I think Wendy's is much better. Never had their specialty burgers. Their roast beef sandwich was good too.

They're decent. Their whole deal is "We offer HUGE EVERYTHING!" It's funny how the newer restaurants are clean and modern, and the older ones seem to be dirty, sloppy truck stops. At some point the owners must give up.

One of the new McD's been to looks like a freakin' 5-star hotel lobby with startup-esque furnishing.

As with any fast food place, it will vary greatly depending on who is working there. For some reason the Hardee's around us are usually pretty bad, but in other places pretty decent.

You can get any sandwich served low-carb style (using lettuce instead of a bun).

For a while, they kept massively changing the menu, requiring restaurants to retool their kitchens (at least our former Hardee’s added Roy Rogers fried chicken) then the change to the grilled angus burgers.

But I guess those were in the past long enough that they should be updating interiors.
(I believe a MCd franchisee is required to put a certain % into renovations)

Last jobs I've been to, it's all similar culture - work takes priority before lunch. People don't avoid lunch hour in the outlook.
I don't hesitate to try for a reschedule because I have a conflict (I just don't specify what the conflict is).

I would have to say that I like Carl's Jr.'s burgers more than my go-to BK Whopper. But I only get it when I travel, as they're aren't any around me.

I know sometimes it's unavoidable, I've gone without lunch before, especially during outages or when boss is having rough day... However, usually there's at least 1 person who will volunteer to go and fetch food for the rest, or, if it's a big bad outage, the department will order a bunch of pizzas or subs or whatever for a "war room"

We used to block out 1100-1200 on our calendars with a meeting name that was an acronym for LUNCH. That way no one would schedule a meeting during that time. Of course, we all just talked about work stuff during that hour anyway, but at least it was at a restaurant. :p
