while RCT was a great game, my favorite Tycoon game still remains Transport Tycoon which i'm positive they won't remake :brokenheart:

Did you ever play Chris Sawyer's Locomotion???

I think I spent the most hours in any game playing TT. I could just spend countless hours rerouting my lines for efficiency :D It was beautifully simplicity and allowed you to layer your own complexities to it.

Now maybe it's just me, but Locomotion was a disaster. I totally could not play that game at all. I guess maybe I was hoping he could have updated the graphics just a bit.

There's also 1 or 2 open source TT type of games floating on the net. One is German I believe. If I can find the bookmarks I'll post them or just try google.

Yea I've read about the open source versions but never played them.

Chris Sawyer's Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 & 2 kick so much ass.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 was basically the first game but bigger and better and included a sandbox mode, unsure if the first game did. I don't think they left anything out of 2 that was in the first. If you don't own the game then snag Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 Triple Thrill Pack.

Now Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is alright, with some helpful videos on You Tube you can get the hang of the controls. Try typing in RCT3 or Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 tutorial or guide or how to on You Tube and see what pops up and check out the vids. Again if you haven't got the game then pick up the Platinum edition.

Also having issues with RCT2 on a standard account on Vista. Works fine on the admin name. So how can I fix this? I'm really getting the hankering for some Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.

You can even import your coasters into the third game. Pretty cool.

If they make a forth I'd wish Chris Sawyer would make it, but RCT2 is perfect as they come so he can't out do himself. Who cares if it's not in 3d.

Is there anything in the first game not in the second? Unless you like the campaign mode I guess.

I broke out my RCT III, and now I'm lost in that world again. So much different from RPG's and FPS's. Way fun. Gracias
