They need to change the scoring/money system on "The Weakest Link"

I've been watching The Weakest Link quite a bit in recent weeks and have noticed the same trend. NOBODY ever wins more than about $75,000 to $80,000. And most of the time it is much less than that. The grand prize is supposed to be $1,000,000. With the dumba$$ players that some of these people get stuck with, it doesn't even seem likely that anyone could even reach $150,000. DON'T EVEN THINK about getting 1 million

At least with Millionare, you have some control over your winnings and have the chance to win a considerable amount of money.

With The Weakest Link, most of it just goes down the drain. So there lies the inheritant problem with the show IMHO. There's no way to win it seems (or even get remotely close). And then to get humiliated during the whole process?? Bah, funk that

Well that's the purpose of the show - to vote off the weak players to get yourself a better chance at getting more money. $50k isn't chump change. That's about average on par compared to what most millionaire contestants win.

Well, that's a given, but it's almost impossible to get anything over $100k b/c these people are so damn stupid. Even if you vote off the weakest links, you still get dummies left behind or people that like to makes pacts that are STILL stupid. And then they only end up getting $8,000 in a round.

The thing is, it's quite possible to score about $250,000 or even a million on millionare. You'll NEVER see anybody get that on TWL or even close IMHO.

There are two main problems:

1)People don't take chances enough. They bank the $ way too soon. I absolutely hate it when they bank $1K. What is the use of that? I mean, take a chance, esp in the later rounds when the dumber people have been voted off, and try to string together more than 3 correct questions. If you have just one string of 6-7 questions answered correctly in any of the rounds, you can bank more money than is ever won on the show.

2)The &quot;bank&quot; thing sucks. I would rather have it so that money is automatically banked when someone misses. That way, the only negative is missing the question. I hate it when somebody gets booted for &quot;not banking $5000.&quot;

I hate the fact that the smartest people always get booted off. I mean, they are by far the ones who deserve the money, but because the other two dumbasses are scared, the smart gets nothing. I've seen it happen too many times.

While they are changing the money system, they should change the entire show as well.

I think it's funny when a contestant banks zero dollars. Like when someone misses a question and the person next automatically says bank.

What I find most annoying are the alliances made. I can't stand it when they explain that they all decided to vote from left to right. I think they should try to stop being like Survivor and keep the competition pure by isolating the contestants before the show.

They do need to change the scoring system. As is, there is no way that you can put that many people together and have them even approach 1 million bucks. There is just no way. There at least needs to be a SLIGHT chance that the money can be had, otherwise it's not that exciting. People will eventually tire of seeing who can stab who in the back.

One more thing: Ever notice how certain contestants that the host seems to favor (or at least not despise) get a lot of easy questions? Seems that way to me.

I heard on the local radio once the host on The Weakest Link isn't as good as she seems... ppl said they write up all the jokes for her beforehand, and she just reads them with an attitude...

and after the show, they have to film her reading the questions again before the show goes on the air...

They need to be more like Survivor and bring in immunity. The person who has, at the end of each round, answered the highest percentage of questions correctly since the beginning of the GAME, is immune from being voted out. This way, at least one of the people in the finals won't be an idiot.

Watch Jeopardy, that's a real man's show..and incidentally the average Weakest Link winner gets more money than a Jeopardy winner.

I'm talking stupid as in not knowing that James Brown is the Godfather of Soul. Not knowing that Frank Gifford is Kathy Lee's husband, not knowing that Paris is in France. STUFF like THAT!! Now that is just STUPID

for one thing, the show's insurance company pays out the prizes, not the show itself.

The thing that I hate most of all is how the dumbasses on the show team up and always vote off the smart people. I think they should change it so that if you are statisticly the strongest link, you can not be voted off in the next round of voting.
